500 g filo (phyllo) pastry
1 cup seed oil
½ cup sugar
200gr. Greek strained Yoghurt
20gr. Baking powder
Zest of one orange
½ cup orange juice
For the Syrup
1 cup fresh orange juice
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
Juice of half lemon
Separate and open all the filo on a table or your kitchen counter and let it dry completely.
Crush the filo in small pieces and place them in a bowl.
In a second bowl beat the eggs with the sugar with a whisk. Add the restingredients (oil, vanilla, yoghurt, baking powder, orange juice and zest) and mix well. In the end add the crushed filo and mix carefully with a spoon or with your hand until you have a nice mixture.
Grease very well the bottom and walls of a round pan (Size: 32) and add some flour. Put the mixture in it and make it even with your hands. Bake in preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes
1. 10 minutes before the pie is ready start preparing the syrup. Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and cook for 6 minutes in medium heat.
2. Take the pie out of the oven, leave it for 5 minutes and with a knife make small holes on its surface.
3. Add the syrup and leave the pie absorb all of it. You can serve it warm or cold with ice cream.
