For a perfect afternoon at home you don’t need a lot. A good coffee and a piece of handmade cake. Today I am gonna share with you mama’s recipe for a homemade cake. A recipe that never fails and a cake that is ready in just a few steps.
5 Eggs 1 cup of lukewarm milk 1 ½ cup of sugar ¾ cup of vegetable oil 50gr Vanilla 20gr. Baking Powder Grated Zest and juice of half orange 3 cups of Flour (not full)
1 teaspoon of cacao
Step 1: Preheat oven to 170oC (338 °F) Step 2: Grease very well the bottom and walls of the cake pan and add some flour. Move the cake pan around in all directions, so that the flour sticks to the butter and covers the walls and bottom of the cake pan. Throw any flour left away
Step 3: Beat the eggs with the sugar in a mixer until the mixture changes colour and becomes almost white Step 4: Then go on and add the vegetable oil while continue beating Step 5: Add the milk, juice, zest, vanilla, baking and flour and beat for a couple of minutes until the mixture is smooth. The Cake mixture is ready!
Step 6: Take 4-5 tablespoons of the mixture in a bowl and add a teaspoon of cacao. Mix well until it is smooth and let aside Step 7: Put half of the cake mixture in the cake pan. Add the cacao mixture. Add the rest of the cake mixture Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven (170o-180oC) for 50 minutes.

Beat the eggs with the sugar (Step 3) very well!
But do not beat the mixture with the flour very long. After you add the flour, just make sure that the flour is incorporated into the mixture, but do not beat for too long (Step 5).
